So it’s my birthday, but as is tradition — I will be the one giving you gifts!
Also as is tradition, I’m cosplaying Final Fantasy VII, again. I think I’ve done this at least one year running for my birthday, but it’s entirely possible I might have done my first Cloud sets the year before that in June … 😂 Whoops.
Anyway, you may or may not have seen in things I’ve posted recently that I’m currently away from home shooting on location, but I wanted to make sure y’all got a content writeup, even in my absence! So! Let’s talk!
First up — anyone coming to Yeticon? Shockingly, I will be leaving my apartment and going to Yeticon, in the middle of this month! I’m pretty sure I’ll be bringing Cloud, and one of my Genshin boys, and I’m sure I’m going to have space for something else … 🤔 Opinions? I’m sure I’m going to have a hard time choosing!
Oh, and speaking of Cloud —
Photos by Paul Hillier; Sephiroth is Dangrrr; Aerith is Kiga!
And, I guess, a couple of other notable characters. Y’know, maybe. I suppose.
For anyone who hasn’t played the original Final Fantasy VII and has somehow not become aware of the iconic Aerith Death Scene — I guess you’re hearing it here first! 😂 Sephiroth stabs Aerith from behind as she prays in the temple of the ancients, and Cloud carries her into the water there to let her rejoin the planet.
We shot these late at night, in a private pool; I’m actually sitting and holding up Kiga on my knees in the photo where we’re together. And I’m hiding behind Dangrrr in the first photo, holding one of my Hawks wings that I painted black for the first photo. Paul is standing in the pool with his expensive camera for both!
Here’s a behind the scenes photo for those of you who love to worry about Paul dropping his camera in the pool.
I mentioned that I’ve been cosplaying Cloud for a couple of years now, but he’s gotten a huge upgrade, and I’m finally happy with him. Let’s take a look at his humble beginnings:

This was one of the last photo shoot days I did before the panini started in 2020, and it was my first attempt at a Cloud wig. My second ever attempt at wig spiking, and a pretty early attempt at giving a wig a trim from me.
I also, you will note, absolutely did not have his outfit yet. I closet cosplayed him for this, to make sure I was into doing the cosplay, and that I could do the wig and be happy with it, before I committed to then working on everything else.
Anyway, then the pandemic happened. 😂
I did continue to cosplay Cloud, though — and for those of you who are new around here (hello!), it’s your lucky day, because I’m going to be uploading not only the above photoset for you, but all of the other Cloud photosets I’ve done over the panorama, which includes but is in no way limited to the following:
Photo on the Right by Paul Hillier; on the left by Lxe Photo!
The bee outfit, if you’ve never seen it before, is a) my pride and joy (there’s a writeup on how I made it!), and b) is a real outfit from Final Fantasy VIIR! I promise!

Photos by Paul Hillier; Cloud in a Dress is a canon costume in Final Fantasy VII. This Version is the Remake Version!
Photos will be available to all tiers, split up by content — Safe for Work photos are mostly available at $5+, lewd at $10, and then gradually less clothes from there the higher the tier you go! (And on Diamond Tier sometimes we add things back in! I know we will be this month!)
Photos by Paul Hillier; outfit is based off of some art by the amazing @Kajinman!
And if you have seen these before — well, I hope you at least don’t mind enjoying them again!
But I’ve finally finished him, for real this time! This is my third Cloud Wig, actually, and a huge collaboration for all of the pieces — maybe I’ll do a whole write-up on all of the little intricacies, if anyone’s interested ….
Photo by Lxe Photo. Cloud’s Shirt, Pants, and Leatherwork are by Emilie Gauvin; Cloud’s armour kit is from Dangerous Ladies, and finished by me!
I’m so pleased with the quality of this cosplay — and so pleased with how far I’ve come in cosplay! What a difference two years makes, right?
And of course, you’re going to get a lot more than just cosplay pictures from the photosets —
Photo by Lxe Photo! The boots stay ON.
Again, see above for how the tiers work as to how much you’ll see of each photoset!
As this posts, I’ll be shooting another photoset of Cloud for you as well — so no previews yet, but I’m sure they’ll be worth the wait, with the venue I have booked for them! It looks like an old Mako Reactor, I’m so very excited!
You might also recognize this, from a few photos I’ve posted online because I was so excited to enjoy this cosplay on myself:
Here, you can see @Dangrrr laying on the ground taking the photo, and then one of the outtake photos. 😂
And, of course, a couple preview photos from Dangrrr!
Again, for anyone who doesn’t go here — Sephiroth is the game’s main villain! A previous Hero of Cloud, as well as a sort of former coworker of Cloud’s (they serve in the military together before Sephiroth goes rogue, and he’s presumed dead when FFVII starts) …
He’s also, in my humble opinion, Cloud’s Boyfriend. Their scenes together in the FFVIIR remake are so unnecessarily horny, it’s truly a gift that I was given.
Oh, and in case you’ve forgotten that I had Dangrrr as Sephiroth as well — this might jog your memory!
Preview of a photo by Paul Hillier!
Wow, can’t imagine where that might go … Definitely can’t imagine that there might be both photo of video evidence of the fan fiction that has lived in my head for a great many years now.
No context, y’know, just. A good photo. *chefkiss*
For those of y’all who aren’t, in fact, into Final Fantasy VII — wow, congratulations for battling your way through the above! I appreciate the hell out of you. And to reward you — and, also, a little bit, me! I shot another photoset, that’s me out of cosplay, which is something that people always ask for me to do more of~
Photos by Paul Hillier; Accessories are all Alexander McQueen.
When I was a wee fashion student and beginner cosplayer, I loved McQueen. He was a huge inspiration for me while he was alive. I also loved Vogue, as a fashion magazine — I lived in the middle of nowhere, and until I moved to the city for University, I didn’t have very good internet access, so I collected physical magazines. So this was kind of just my own little vogue spread, and an homage to McQueen.
I also edited these myself, and I think my colour grading was VERY good this time! This was my first time editing photos taken on a real cyclorama wall. Maybe I’ll talk a little about photo editing, too, if anyone happens to be interested in that, I’ve started doing a lot of my own editing over the panini!
Anyway, I need to go back to packing to leave for my trip! Thank you so much for reading, check out my links if any of them appeal to you, and thank you so much for all of your support, everyone! Please wish me luck on my shoot today, she’s a big one!
